We have an enthusiastic and energetic team who take pride in setting exceptional standards. Each member of our team is focused on excellence where rider and horse can become the best they can be.
Gayle
Having ridden all her life, Gayle started her professional career as a very successful lawyer. She balanced two very different lifestyles, and in 2007 took the leap to follow her lifelong passion for the sport of show jumping, and set up GW Equine (riding, breeding and training), which took off instantly. Gayle has over 35 years of experience working with horses, having worked for reputable and respected names in the business, in several disciplines, producing horses from unbroken to 1.45m and to winning at national dressage championships. Additionally, she holds her BHSI and UKCC Level 3 coaching qualifications. On top of this she trained riders and supplied horses for the modern pentathlon at the London 2012 Olympics, World Championships, Europeans and was Wellington Colleges’ equestrian coach, winning the Services Team jumping at Windsor for two consecutive years.
Ben
Ben has been responsible for overseeing the daily care for all the brood mare, stallions and young stock. Whilst running the GW Equine breeding program for the past 10 years he is also responsible for maintenance and ensuring all the facilities are kept in good working order for both our equine and human clients.
Ben is also responsible for the My Riding Life page of our website enabling people to book the arenas and enter our regular competitions and is always on hand to support and answer any questions.
Sara
Sara has a lifetime passion for horses. Having previously worked on professional showjumping yards, Sara started a family and subsequently introduced her 3 daughters to the sport. Sara has had a successful career in financial services and management. Recently joining the GW team as Operations Manager Sara is the new driving force behind future innovative projects, promotion and development as well as providing yard backup and support.
Kaly
Kaly is an experienced groom/rider having groomed up to CSI-2* internationally and at many national shows. He has many years experience dealing with stallions, young and tricky horses. He has high standards both on the yard and at shows. The horses performance and welfare is paramount and he always strives to bring out the best in the horses he deals with.
Hayley
Hayley has 25 years experience of handling horses on a variety of yards. After deciding to make an exciting change to her work life, Hayley has become the latest member to join us here at GW Equine.
Hayley has a great sense of humour and tireless dedication having started her journey towards gaining her BHS qualifications, and aspires to maintain the high level standard of care we hold here.
Support Team
Whilst our core team focuses on the delivery of day to day services, we also have a support team. Emily, Mia and Jess play a critical role in providing back up services to our core team.
