Equine Aqua Power is a Limited Company owned by Gayle White and Georgina Gray.

The business is operated from Highbrook Stables, Lyss Place, Hawkley Road, Liss, Hampshire, GU33 6JP, UK

Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

​

1.   Terms and conditions

​

These Terms & Conditions will apply to all bookings made. By making a booking with Equine Aqua Power you agree to accept these Terms and Conditions.
 
If you are not the owner of the horse to be treated, by making a booking you confirm that you are authorised by the owner(s) to accept these Terms & Conditions on their behalf.

​

2.   Condition on attendance

​

All horses must be clean on attending the treadmill.  Hooves, legs/belly and tails must be washed.   Horses must be provided with a properly fitted tail bandage.   Hooves will be re-scrubbed on site. 

No horses with cuts, abrasions or skin conditions will be permitted for treatment and no re-funds for sessions missed due to these conditions will be made.

3.   Fees & Payment Terms

​

All bookings need to be paid for prior to commencing.

Package bookings are flexible and session can be rearranged as long as 48 hrs notice is given. These need to be used within 12 months. Refunds are not given for unused sessions.

All cancellations or re-scheduled appointments must be made in writing, either by email or by messaging via social media.
 
If we need to re-schedule a session less than 24 hours before that session is due to start, we will offer you the choice of a re-schedule or a refund.
 
Bookings are transferable between your horses owned by the same person.

 

Any horse which is not clean as in point 2 will be bathed and prepared on site.  This will result in the time the horse is on the treadmill being reduced by the amount of preparation time taken.

4.   Payment Methods

​

We accept bank transfer, cash or PayPal payments.

​

5.   Record Keeping & Registration

​

Equine Aqua Power  will keep detailed records on all horses being treated on site.  These are available for owners to view upon request.

​

All owners are required to complete a registration form prior to their horses first treatment.

​

6.   Animal Insurance

​

If owners are claiming for treatment on their insurance, treatments need to be paid for in advance, and then costs re-claimed from the appropriate insurance company. Receipts for payment can be provided.

​

7.   Cancellation

​

We require 48 hours notice for cancellations; otherwise the normal full session fee will be applicable unless there are extenuating circumstances, which will be considered by the centre manager.

​

8.   Suitability of Treatment

​

All horses MUST have veterinary permission from their vet before receiving hydrotherapy treatment under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966. It is the owners’ responsibility to ensure that this permission is obtained prior to their horses first session. We will make every effort to ensure the treatment is appropriate for your horse.


We are permitted to discuss the treatment being undertaken with your vet directly.
 

9.   Horse Health & Vaccinations

​

Copies of passports and evidence of up to date vaccinations are required for bio-security reasons before first session.  Please do not offload your horse until these have been checked.

Any horse presenting with abnormal signs of possible illness e.g. raised temperature, abnormal nasal discharge, inflamed glands, skin condition will be sent away for bio-security reasons. If your horse develops an infectious or contagious condition during its course of treatment at Equine Aqua Power you must inform us, in writing, as soon as possible.

Please inform us of any behavioural problems or vices in advance.

10.   Health & Safety on Site

​

All persons entering the hydrotherapy room enter at their own risk and must be dressed appropriately and wearing personal protective equipment including sturdy non-slip footwear. Anybody who does not wear personal protective clothing does so at their own risk.

​

Any horse in the centre deemed by staff as a risk to health and safety of the staff will have their treatment postponed and asked to leave until the treatment can be carried out safely. Full payment of the session will be applicable. Staff will then discuss with the owner regarding further treatment and management needed in order to carry out safe treatment.

Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area.

Outside dogs are only permitted on leads at all times.

 

11.   Terms of Use

​

Only staff may load and hold the horse during hydrotherapy sessions and/or operate the controls for the equipment.

For safety of the staff and the horse, all horses will be treated for hydrotherapy using a bridle, or in extenuating circumstances, staff will use a chiffney to ensure health and safety is prioritized.

 

12.   Horse Passports

​

If horses are staying overnight their passports must be left with us. This will be locked in the office for safekeeping. It will also be required to provide passports showing up to date vaccinations before first treatment can commence.

 

13.   Photography & Video Copyright

​

Unless otherwise determined, we are given permission to take photographs and video footage of your horse whilst on our premises. We are given permission to use these freely on our social media and website.  Coach’s eye can be purchased by clients if footage of the horse is required to be shared with other persons or professionals or desired for their own records and use.

 

14.   Limitation of Liability

​

All horses undergoing hydrotherapy or other treatments at Equine Aqua Power Ltd do so at their own risk. We will not be held responsible for any injury suffered by horses or their owners using our facilities. Nor will we be held responsible for the insurance of the said horse, for loss or loss of equipment pertaining to said horse. All horses having hydrotherapy or other treatments at Equine Aqua Power Ltd do so at their owner’s risk.

15.   Damage to Property

​

We reserve the right to charge the costs of making repairs (or, if necessary, replacement) to the owner if your horse causes damage to our premises or equipment
 
Please ensure that your horse is properly shod. Damage caused to equipment by broken/loose shoes or shoe fixings will be charged.

 

16.   Warranty

​

The treatments we offer are therapeutic in nature and as such we cannot make any guarantee as to their effectiveness.

 

17.   Third Party Rights

​

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall confer any rights upon any third party. The agreement created by these Terms and Conditions is between you and us only.
 

18.   Disputes

​

Any disputes need to be made in writing, at the time of the incident.

 

19.   Additional Costs

​

If veterinary or other treatments are carried out at Equine Aqua Power any costs incurred will be invoiced to the owner. We will ensure these are authorised before they are carried out.

 

21.   Data Protection

​

By booking a treatment consent is being given to Equine Aqua Power Ltd to hold your personal data on file and to inform you of information relating to your horse, future events and promotions.

 

22.   Sedation

​

All horses will be offered a Calmer Bite prior to treatment. This is not compulsory but may help to calm them before their session.

​

In the event that a horse may require sedation, the owner must take responsibility to contact their vet and organize this. We are able to liaise with your vet to arrange this, but additional charges will be incurred.
